Neuroscience Position at Virginia Tech

Virginia Tech recently partnered with a local health care system to start a new medical school and research institute located in Roanoke, Virginia. The research institute has a good sized neuroscience group, part of which focuses on decision neuroscience using economics instruments (for example, trust games, ultimatum games, dictator games....) We now have 3 fMRI machines, 2 in Roanoke and 1 at the main campus in Blacksburg.

The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) is an independent Bureau within the Federal Reserve System. Created in July 2010 by the “Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act”, the CFPB works to empower consumers with the information they need to make financial decisions that are best for them and their families and sets and enforces clear, consistent rules that allow banks and other consumer financial services providers to compete on a level playing field. The Bureau’s Office of Research is building an interdisciplinary team to support these objectives.
